Effort to bid police station at Haolenphai village is akin to inviting unwanted agitation: VC Thurhning Anal

Chief of Thangbung Minou village authority, Ts Thurhning Anal questioned on what basis the present BJP led Govt has offered to develop a Police Station at Haolenphai village in Tengnoupal district without the permission of Thangbung Minou village authority and appealed the State Govt to put on halt any kind of development work including building of Police Station in Haolenphai village without knowing the proper history and keeper of the village.
The village chief made this statement in a press meet held at a temporary community hall of Thangbung Minou Village in Chandel district headquarter and urged the Govt to find out the real owner of the said village before taking up any development activities in the region.
He further claimed there is no official record for the existence of Haolenphai village and people know this place as Thangbung Minou since earlier times.
The village chief expressed that full cooperation and support will be extended if the State Govt consult the village chief of Thangbung Minou village Chief.
He cautioned the State Govt to handle the situation carefully otherwise misunderstanding can be crept up between different communities which can lead to unwanted communal clash.
He also pointed out that villagers of Thangbung Minou had objected an offer of Additional DC Moreh to develop a smart city covering 3000 hectares in the said Haolenphai village in 2013 and rejected the proposal of previous Congress Govt to develop a Smart City in the area.
The press meet was also attended by Secretary Thangbung Village Authority St Mokhal Anal, Asst Secretary KLThungam Anal and the villagers.
