DESAM has come out strongly against the report doing the round that students are offering bribes for admission in different colleges and stated that any student union of colleges, members of student bodies and admission committee or any individuals concerned should not resort to such wrong practices.
DESAM also appealed to the public to inform them if they find any person taking money for admission using DESAM's name and warned that appropriate action will be taken against those.
It may be mentioned that DESAM has urged the Higher Education Department and its officials and the University officials to streamline the admission process by following proper norms.
Thereafter consolidated lists were published by the authorities concerned.
DESAM has also urged that the admitted list and the vacant seats be notified from time to time.
It has also urged strongly to double the intake capacity in view of the COVID-19 pandemic.
The student body has also urged MU and DMU to manage the space, time, infrastructure and manpower and to follow a special ordinance regarding the increase in intake capacity.
