Consultative meeting for improvement of primary schools held at Ukhrul

Ukhrul, June 26 2019:
Ukhrul District Autonomous Council (UADC) has organized a daylong consultative meeting with the headmasters, village headmen, women, youths and SMDC members for both Ukhrul and Kamjong districts yesterday to understand their basic problems and functioning of all primary schools under ADC, Ukhrul for overhauling the rural education system.
The meeting emphasized at rejuvenating the learning processes in tune with the ever changing education environment.
Ukhrul ADC Chairman, Dr Yaronsho Ngalung said that teaching is a noble profession, which imparts knowledge with utmost care to every children.
Highlighting on the contemporary national education policies as resource person, Polly Makan, CEO, ADC Ukhrul said that education is compulsory for all children under RTE Act.
Teachers should give their best effort to tap the inborn talents of every child from their early schooling days, she added.
RS Ngaranchui, ADC members and Haowung Ronnui, AI also attended as resource persons for the consultative meeting.
During the interactive session, the impending problems and issues about infrastructure development, methodological improvement of rural education system for imparting quality education to every children at every doorstep were highlighted and minutely discussed with the councillors, in order to draw their immediate attention for overhauling the education system under Autonomous district council in all primary schools.
One day consultative meeting was organised by Ukhrul, ADC at Town Phungreitang, Ukhrul.
