Free medical camps conducted at Thoubal, Churachandpur

Thoubal, January 28 2020:
Manipur Heart Foundation (MHF) in association with SKY Hospital & Research Centre Pvt Ltd and Rashtriya Bal Swasthya Karyakram (RBSK) have jointly conducted a one-day free heart and echo screening camp of children below 18 years at Thoubal District Hospital, today.
A total of 17 children below 18 were given free heart OPD and echocardiography in which 7 children were detected to have CHD (Congenital Heart Disease) for which free further assessment at SKY Hospital was advised, said a statement issued by MHF.
Dr L Shyamkishore, president Manipur Heart Foundation asserted that the foundation would continue to provide free healthcare facilities at different places of Manipur, appealing all to take the opportunity of such services.
On the other hand, NHPC Loktak Power Station organised a free medical camp at Thenjang Junior Boy's School, Churachandpur, today.
The camp organised under CSR & SD (Corporate Social Responsibility & Sustainable Development) activities was inaugurated by Dr LP Singh, General Manager (Medical Services), Loktak Power Station in the presence of James Dangmei, president, Baptist Youth Fellowship Thenjang Baptist Church; Th Ashaphou Thaimei, Pastor of Thenjang Baptist Church; Dr Th Joyshree, General Manager (Medical Services), Loktak Power Station; Rajesh Kumar, Senior Manager (HR), Loktak Power Station; Dr Grace K Gangte, Sr Dy CMO LOktak Power Station; Dr Prasenjit Dhar, Asst CMO, Loktak Power Station and locals of adjacent villages, said a statement of NHPC Limited.
Altogether 284 patients were given consultancy for diseases like respiratory infection disease, arthritis, diarrhoea etc, it said adding that medicines were also provided at free of cost after screening.
