Political conference held

Naoriya Pakhanglakpa Block Congress Committee organised a one day political conference at Monshangei Mayai Leikai Sunday.
MPCC general secretary (admin) S Jiten, Naoriya Pakhanglakpa BCC president S Chaoba and Pole Star College Hiyanglam Principal Th Brajabidhu attended the conference as presidium members participated by Congress workers of four polling stations.
The conference discussed several key issues including Naga Peace Talk.
Speaking at the event, MPCC member Dr S Manaoton reiterated that the Framework Agreement should never infringe upon the State's integrity.
The hidden details of the Framework Agreement still poses a 'threat', he added.
He also spoke on Citizenship Amendment Bill (CAB) and asserted that the intention of the BJP to reintroduce the Bill is a matter of grave concern for the people of the State.
The Centre may even devise a similar policy it implemented in case of Jammu and Kashmir before scrapping the Article 370 to implement CAB, he alleged expressing apprehension that such action would disintegrate Manipur.
Expressing his desire to contest in elections, Manaoton said that a vision document will be readied to project the Constituency forward as a people's representative.
The conference which is held every month will continue to cover other polling stations,
he added.
