KBZ to operate Imphal-Mandalay flight

Imphal, September 22 2019:
KBZ, a private airline service of Myanmar, is set to operate along the Imphal-Mandalay route ahead of the coming Sangai Festival which will be held from November 24 to 30 this year.
According to a reliable source, the airline will operate twice a week and those who wish to travel to Bangkok and other South East Asian countries can also board the flight as well.
The source explained that the particular airlines has expressed keen interest to operating flight service between Imphal and Mandalay.
The State Government responded to KBZ's gesture with same eagerness.
Looking after the situation, KB Enterprises, an Imphal based travel agency, is working towards completing all the necessary formalities to ensure the flight service.
Informing that KB Enterprises is also working to ensure the particular flight service between Imphal and Mandalay continues even after the end of the Sangai Festival, the source conveyed that works are underway to avail visa on arrival facilities at Bir Tikendrajit International Airport.
On the other hand, the source informed that the State Tourism Department is planning to hold a curtain raiser programme for the Sangai Festival at New Delhi in the first week of next month, and added that the State Government has also sent letters to the foreign embassies in New Delhi to ensure people from other countries can come and participate.
The organising committee has also grouped the districts of the State into teams comprised of three districts each and instructed the DCs concerned to select the best cultural troupes for the cultural programme, the source added.
Notably, Sangai Festival is a calendar event sponsored by the State Government.
