'Kangla Lanpung' in circulation after 20 years

After a gap of 20 years, publication of Kangla Lanpung as a half-yearly journal has resumed by RK Sanatomba Memorial Trust with Ningthouja Lancha as editor.
The VII volume-Issue I Winter, 2013 of Kangla Lanpung was released during a function held at the office premises of the Trust located at Palace Compound here today.
After a series of publication up to VI volume under the banner of Manipuri Nation Federation from 1992 to 1993, Kangla Lanpung went out of circulation until its revival by RK Sanatomba Memorial Trust today.
Speaking on the occasion of releasing the VII Volume-Issue 1 Winter, 2013 of Kangla Lanpung, Dr Soyam Lokendrajit, Head of Philosophy Department, Manipur University, categorically stated it is worth asking all the media fraternity whether they truly and sincerely have dwelt in depth over the fact that media is the fourth pillar of democracy.
He went on to say that even if it is well known that no disturbing pictures of dead individuals and the like can be published in newspapers, yet it is often seen that newspapers are filled with such pictures.
Media persons should realize the possible consequences of certain news reports if they were to be published.
Te VII volume-Issue-I Winter 2013 of Kangla Lanpung, which was released today with Ningthouja Lancha as Editor, has articles written by Dr Soyam Lokendrajit; Dr Singam Gyaneshwor, retired Principal, DM College of Teachers' Education; Dr A Bimol Akoijam and Dr Manglem Ningthouja.
