Imphal, March 10 2013 :
The Kuki National Liberation Front (KNLF) and its army wing Kuki People's Army (KPA) celebrated its 5th raising day at tactical headquarters at Munli on March 6, said press statement of the outfit.
Quoting the chairman of the organisation, Pelen Kuki, the press statement remembered the initial days of the organisation.
The chairman said, "While we are striving for our liberation movement we faced lots of ups and downs and hurdles but I thank God for his guidance during this short period of five years for leading us to many glorious moments which are beyond our expectation." "I extend my heartfelt thanks to our mother organisation UNLF for their motherly guidance in every field, their untold generosity and support are the strength for us and it will remain in our mind till our last breathe, and as long as the party exists", he said.
In the last three decades, several Kuki revolutionary groups have been set up, but unfortunately, the spirit of their revolutionary movement became meaningless with signing of SoO with the Government, he added.
The chairman questioned whether the ideology of these outfits is for the Kuki nation.
He pointed out that SoO is the strategy to suppress the true revolutionary movement of the Kukis and create enmity among the people of Manipur and Kuki society in particular.
Therefore, KNLF/KPA would not compromise with Kuki people's army nationalism under SoO, he said adding that Kuki People's Army and the frontal organisation would fight all the challenges without any fear.
The chairman also urged the general public to continue extending help in the liberation movement of KNLF/KPA and safeguarding territorial integrity of Manipur.
He added that the general public must be aware of the alleged divide and rule policy of the India Government and take maximum precaution not to fall into their trap.
The chairman also appealed KNO and UPF not to be the puppets of the Indian Army instead to join hands for a glorious victory of the motherland.
