Health fairs held across state

Imphal, April 22 2022:
District Health Society, Imphal East on Friday organised a Block Health Mela at Ningomthongjao in Thongju AC under the initiative of the district administration as part of the government's 100-day action plan programme.
Speaking as chief guest, commerce & industries minister Thongam Biswajit contended that the BJP-led government under the leadership of chief minister N Biren has taken up various welfare schemes for the people of Manipur.
He informed that Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Viswas, Sabka Prayas are necessary components for making a new India according to the vision of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Health Sector is also given due importance by the government, he added.
Biswajit said that the government has been implementing many welfare schemes for the people and sought public cooperation for successful implementation of the schemes.
The minister also announced that new transfer and posting policy vVill be implemented soon, stating that the period of posting of government employees in a place will be three years.
He also informed that government employees have been instructed not to approach any officials for transfer and posting purpose.
The programme was at tended by Kshetrigao MLA Sheikh Noorul Hassan, Imphal East DC Kh Diana Devi and others.
KANGPOKPI: As a part of the state government's '100-day Action Plan' and celebration of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav, Kangpokpi Block Health Society organised Block Health Mela at Kangpokpi Ward No 11, on Friday.
As part of the mela, free healthcare and other services including paediatric OPD, Psychiatry OPD/counselling for drug de-addiction, obs & gynae OPD, eye OPD, Dental OPD, NCD clinic including Chief Minister's Health for All scheme (CMHA) & health ID generation, Ayush OPD & RBSK (screening for congenital anomalies for children under 0-6 yrs), adolescent/RKSK clinic - distribution of free sanitary napkins to adolescent girls and PMJAY & CMHT scheme - enrolment including linkage of Aadhaar with mobile number were provided to residents of the area.
Free services provided also included awareness and interaction on National Vector Borne Diseases Control Programme, National TB Elimination Programme, National Leprosy Eradication Programme, National Viral Hepatitis Control Programme, ICTC, Covid-19 vaccination, routine immunisation & family planning services, lab diagnosis and ultrasound, distribution of essentials drugs, UDID - registration for disability certificate, awareness on nutrition under Poshan Abhiyaan and telemedicine consultation.
The main function was held with Kangpokpi DC Kengoo Zuringla and CMO Dr Lamk-honeng Haokip as chief guest and president respectively whille SH-ADC CEO James Doujapao Haokip and Kangpokpi Town Committee (KTC) chairman Angam Leivon were the guests of honour.
The mela was also attended by ADM/ADC Laishram Manikanta Singh, District Hospital medical superintendent Dr Paotinlal Haokip, health department and district level officials among others.
THOUBAL: Thoubal district administration along with District Health Society organised Block Health Mela on Friday at Ibudhou Tangjeng Ningthou Laikol Kiyam Siphai under Thoubal Block, the third mela in the district.
Thoubal Municipal Council chairperson Th Syamo was the chief guest of the function while CMO Dr Y Nokul Singh and medical superintendent Dr Th Memcha and ICDS DPO Th Suranjoy Singh were president and guests of honour respectively.
As part of the mela, around 25 stalls including NYK, Food & Safety and ICDS were opened for the public and the attendees made aware about various health programme and prevention of communicable and non-communicable diseases.
Apart from facilities for testing, distribution of medicine and kits, CMHT and Ayushman card were also prepared for the eligible person as part of mela.
District Food safety officer deployed mobile Food Testing Vans, set up stall for generating awareness on "Eat Right Movement" in India.
The department also deputed staff for demonstrations of food safety testing and educate people about eat right campaign.
BISHNUPUR: Block Health Mela for Bishnupur district culminated on Friday with the third fair at Community Health Centre, Moirang.
The mela conducted for Moirang Block covered Kumbi, Thanga and Moirang assembly constituencies.
Thanga MLA Tongbram Robindro, Moirang MLA Thongam Shanti and Bishnupur AC to DC Ejaj Hassan attended the inaugural session as presidium members.
Medicines were distributed free of cost at the Mela under the Pradhan Mantri Jan-Aushadhi scheme.
Creation of Health ID cards for CMHA & NCD; CMHT & AB-PMJAY were the main highlights of the mela, during which free facilities for health checkups, vaccination along with cataract screening, ENT, Gynae OPD with USG, Dermatology, Lab Diagnostic services in the Clinical Stalls were also extended.
IEC and Awareness Generating Stalls of Poshan Abhiyan (ICDS & WCD), District Aids Control Programme, District Leprosy Eradication Programme, National TB Elimination Programme, Eat Right Movement India (Food Safety), AYUSH, School Health Programme (Education), and Family Planning Services among others were also set up at the mela.
