Statues of R Suisa, Akaba unveiled in Senapati

R Suisa Trust & Luchingpurel Chingsubam Akaba Ningshing Lup (LUCANIL) on Friday organised the 44th death anniversary commemoration of Rungsung Suisa-cum-unveil of "Twin Statues of Love, Peace & Friendship" at Hongmahn Tangkhul village, Saikul, Senapati district.
The twin statues of R Ruisa and Chingsubam Akaba erected at the village was unveiled by chief guest of the occasion, chairman of R Suisa Trust Dr Ngahorshai Luithui.
The statues of love, peace and friendship were presented by R Suisa Trust & LUCANIL in fond memory of the two leaders.
The function started by lighting up the inaugural lamp at the sepulcher of R Suisa.
The participants paid homage to Suisa and Akaba.
A two-minute silence was also observed in honour of the two departed leaders.

Dr H Nabachandra presented the opening song based on life of Oja Suisa and Oja Akaba, composed by lyricist Shivadutta Luwang, on the occasion.
Titular king of Manipur Leihsemba Sanajaoba graced the function as president and Dr Ngahorshai Luithui as chief guest.
LUCANIL trustee member N Tomba, MNF Kangleipak Central Committee member H Dhani Meitei, former minister RV Mingthing, Tangkhul Naga Long (TNL) president Sweeten Rahing were present as guests of honour at the event.
COHSEM Secretary Sarangajit Khundrakpam, Hongmahn Tangkhul village chief Mathankhui Zimik, Shumang Leela artiste Sh Hemanta and social worker Paksha Rungsung were the special guests on the occasion.
On the occasion, Leishemba Sanajaoba described the erection of twin statues of R Suisa and Akaba as a new step integrating the people of the hills and valley.
