Nab the killers, deliver justice: JAC

JAC against brutally killing of Moirangthem Megha at Top Chingtha Lai Lampak has today called off its indefinite general strike at Yairipok for two days.
Convener of the JAC today demanded the Government to produce and arrest the individuals involved in the killing of Megha before March 12 and warned that the JAC with CSOs will launch intense agitation from March 13 if the Government failed to deliver the demands of the JAC.
Moirangthem Megha (47) s/o M Irabot of Top Chingtha Mathak leikai was allegedly killed by a mob after he allegedly kicked an individual acting as Tangkhul during an act at the Lai Haraoba at Yairipok Top Chingtha Nongpok Ningthou Panthoibi Lampak under Andro PS on March 7.Large number of people thronged roads at different area- Yairipok Top Chingtha Nganba (Ngabong) Keithel, Tulihal Azad Golai and Yairipok bridge and blocked commuters.
Yairipok New Market and Tampha Keithel donned deserted looks.
A sit-in protest demanding justice to the family of the deceased was also held at Yairipok Laimanai Thongkhong.
The sit-in protest demanded the Government to produce the culprits responsible for the death of Megha.
The sit-in protest warned that it will not take the dead body of Megha till the killers are caught.
The body of the deceased is in JNIMS morgue.
Meanwhile Bamon Leikai Youth Club, (BYCY) has appealed the Government to take matter seriously and take up necessary actions.
It demanded that the culprits be caught and deliver justice to the family of victim.
