Oil to be ferried from depots close to NH-37

Altogether 98 oil tankers, which left Imphal on July 24 for ferrying petroleum products along NH-37, have reached Jiribam today evening and they would fetch oil from depots lying close to NH-37, an official of Indian Oil Corporation (IOC) told Hueiyen Lanpao.
The official further said that necessary arrangement has been made for loading 28 tankers at Silchar while the remaining tankers would be loaded at Guwahati.
So far, four tankers have been loaded at Silchar depot.
IOC has requested the authorities concerned to load the tankers even on Sundays.
All tankers are expected to reach Imphal by Thursday next, he added.
Meanwhile, the stock position of IOC, Imphal Depot as on Friday is 632 KL of petrol and 2788 KL of diesel.
The oil tankers would ferry mostly petrol to the State, the official said.
