KSO appeals SF to refrain from arresting civilians

While condemning the arrest of two students on false charges by 24 Assam Rifles on 19th July, Kuki Students' Organisation (KSO), Chandel district has appealed to the security forces to refrain from arresting innocent civilians especially students with identity cards.
During a routine check up at Khudengthabi, the AR found few arms and ammunitions from a passenger vehicle, in two students were also travelling along with other passengers from Moreh to Imphal and apprehended of all.
Even the students produced their cards to prove their identities and other passengers including the driver pleaded for freeing them, but the security personnel forced them to sign a statement saying that they were both UGs, L Zou, Information and Publicity of KSO alleged in a statement.
Stating that the act of the AR is in total abuse of power and authority, KSO also questioned whether they have any conscience over their action and damaged that could bring to their reputation and future career.
