Hindi push threat to indigenes: Lhingkim Haokip

All India Mahila Congress Committee (AIMCC) national secretary Lhingkim Haokip has said that imposition of Hindi in the northeast states including Manipur is an attempt to endanger the indigenous culture and languages of the region.
Interacting with the media during the India against Hate campaign here on Friday, the Congress leader said that ever since BJP came to power, the country is witnessing increase in communal hatred and violence thereby endangering the unity and integrity of the country.
People are living under constant threat of communal violence and this situation has been brought due to the selfish politics of BJP and AAP, she said.
Terming the move to make Hindi mandatory up to 10th standard in the north eastern states including Manipur as a threat to the culture and languages of the region, she called for a united stand of the indigenous communities of the region against the policy.
India is a bunch of different flowers and each flower has their own unique characteristics and beauty, she expressed, adding that it is the vision of Congress leader Rahul Gandhi to preserve the beautiful diversity of the country.
Different states are witnessing spike in communal tension during the current month.
This situation has been created by hardcore right wing religious groups.
BJP leaders are also responsible for the situation as they often instigate the public with their communal statements, she alleged and charged BJP of creating hatred among the communities.
The communal tension in Jahangirpuri in the national capital is a shameful incident.
BJP and AAP are using bulldozers to demolish houses of poor families in the name of evicting illegal encroachers.
AAP spokespersons, MPs and MLAs are picking out a certain community by tagging them as Bangladeshis and Rohingyas.
The most pertinent question that arises in this situation is that who let these illegal community reside there in the first place, she posed and contended that BJP, which is in power at the Centre, and AAP, which is helming the affairs in Delhi should bear the responsibilities.
Lhingkim also said that such incidents hurt the sentiments of those who truly love the country and its pedple.
