Imphal, January 19 2020:
In connection with the election of a new BJP president scheduled tomorrow, Chief Minister N Biren and Works Minister Th Biswajit left Imphal for Delhi today.
BJP National working president JP Nadda alone may file nomination paper for the post.
After filing the nomination paper, JP Nadda would be officially announced as the new National president of BJP, sources informed.
After he is elected as the new BJP president, JP Nadda would hold an interaction session with Chief Ministers of BJP-ruled States.
Chief Minister N Biren would also take part in the interaction programme.
The new BJP president will hold another interaction session with BJP office bearers of different States on Tuesday evening which would be followed by a dinner party.
In the meantime, Chief Minister N Biren and Works Minister Th Biswajit may discuss about election of a new president of BJP Manipur Pradesh and Ministry reshuffle with different BJP leaders.
As election of a new president of BJP Manipur Pradesh and reshuffling of the Council of Ministers would require approval of the new BJP National president, Biren and Biswajit may hold a meeting with JP Nadda on these matters after Tuesday.
On the other hand, NPP said that they have not been given any information about the proposed Ministry reshuffle.
They said that the four NPP MLAs were inducted as Cabinet Ministers in the BJP-led coalition Govt under an agreement between the party and top leaders of BJP including the National president.
"We don't expect BJP would violate the agreement", said a source in NPP.
