Chief Minister N Biren on his Facebook post today informed that installation of additional ICU beds at JNIMS is underway in full swing.
Moreover out of the total 70 ICU beds equipped with ventilators at JNIMS, the Government has completed installing 40 ventilators, said the Chief Minister and added that installation of monitors and other equipments will be completed by tomorrow.
The Chief Minister further said that the Government will be adding 70 ICU beds at JNIMS and exuded confidence that this will be delivered ahead of schedule.
On the other hand, the number of Covid beds at Regional Institute of Medical Sciences (RIMS ) has been increased from 143 to 224, informed N Philip Singh, media advisor of the healthcare institution in a statement, today.

He also apprised that the number of ICU beds for Covid patients has also been increased from 12 to 40, including 10 beds in NICU while 30 beds are reserved for Covid positive pregnant women in the Gynae ward and one bed for a dialysis patient.
Further, the Department of Psychiatry and Department of Clinical Psychology of the institute opens its counselling helpline for healthcare workers and the public during working days from 10 am to 3 pm, the media advisor said and appealed to all to avail the facility of Tele Counselling and Tele Psychiatry through mobile number -6033856081 .
Meanwhile, RIMS Director, Prof A Santa inaugurated a new staff canteen near Neuro ICU (2nd floor), today.
