Parliamentary Secretaries given portfolios

After five Congress MLAs were sworn in as Parliamentary Secretaries yesterday, the Chief Minister under Section 3 of the Manipur Parliamentary Secretary (Appointment, Salary and Allowances and Miscellaneous Provisions) Act 2012 has given portfolios /charges to the Parliamentary Secretaries.
Keisham Maghachandra has been given the charge/portfolio of Minor Irrigation, Information and Public Relations.
Mairembam Prithiviraj has been given the charge of Youth Affairs & Sports and Tourism, Victor Keishing got Tribal Affairs and Hills and Information Technology.
Vungzagin Valte has been given the charge of Horticulture & Soil Conservation and Command Area Development Agency while Md Amin Shah has been entrusted to assist in the departments of Minorities, Other Backward Classes & Scheduled Castes and Science and Technology.
The Parliamentary Secretaries shall be attached to the concerned Ministers and assist them in discharging their duties and responsibilities, said a press release issued by Chief Secretary DS Poonia.
