With the untimely demise of MLA E Suraj in a car accident in New Delhi today morning condolences from all sections of society poured in sharing the pain and sorrow of the family members of the late MLA.
Governor Gurbachan Jagat expressed his pain and shock on the news of the untimely demise of MLA Elangbam Suraj.
He was one of the young leaders of the state who had a great future waiting for him.
His untimely demise has left an irreparable void in his constituency in particular and Manipur at large which will be difficult to fill up, the Governor added.
CM, O Ibobi also expressed shocked and pain on hearing the news of the sudden demise of the MLA.
In his message, Ibobi asserted that late Suraj was a man of principle and great political vision.
The CM expressed his deepest condolences and sympathies to the members of the bereaved family and prayed the Almighty to give them the strength to withstand the loss.
The Manipur State Secretariat of CPI (Marxist) also expressed their pain and sorrow on the demise of the late MLA.
A condolence meeting was held the Party's office in which tribute was paid to the MLA and shared the sorrow of the bereaved family members.
The Manipur Pradesh Trinamool Congress Committee also organized a condolence meeting at its head office to condole the demise of MLA Suraj and paid tribute to the departed soul of the late MLA.
In a press release, the party shared the pain and sorrow of the family of the deceased.
