15 join JD-U

Imphal, November 15 2020:
Altogether 15 residents of Khurai Assembly Constituency including retired Chief Engineer Khagokpam Khamba have joined Janata Dal-United (JD-U) .
They were accorded a warm reception at the party's New Checkon office today.
Speaking at the gathering, JD-U State unit president Hangkhanpao Taithul said that the 15 people joined JD-U with a conviction to serve the masses under the party's flag.
While nine of them have joined the party as active workers, the other six have been enrolled as primary members, Hangkhanpao said.
They joined the party because they believe in the leadership of JD-U National president Nitish Kumar, he added.
Nitish is set to be sworn in as the Chief Minister of Bihar.
