Imphal, August 08 2011:
The JAC of AMTUC and AMGEO, MASSA, COTA and MSPU are all set to resume its cease work strike from August 10 as the state government failed to translate the agreements arrived at.
In a press release, the JAC of AMTUC and AMGEO stated that the government instead of giving their demands and translating the agreements made with the government employees, it is trying to divert the issue by sidelining and postponing the matter.
The decision to resume its cease work strike was taken against the irresponsible manner of the state government.
It also said that teachers from primary schools to higher secondary level and employees of essential services will be exempted from the cease work strike for the first phase.
However if the government failed to provide the demands of the employees, teachers and essential services employees will also join the strike to intensify the agitation.
It also urged to the people of the state to bear with the outcome of the cease work strike.
