Three vehicles damage when truck rolls down

Tamenglong, July 10 2012: In a shocking accident, a goods laden truck rolled down and ran over two motor bikes and one Gypsy, which were parking at the heart of Tamenglong town this evening.

According to eye-witnesses, a kid was about to cross the road and he luckily he escaped from being hit.

The incident occurred around 5:30 pm today when the goods laden truck being registration no.MN01- 7681 was unloading goods without putting proper brake lever down.

It rolled over and chrushed down two Yamahas and one Gypsy, which were parking some 10 to 20 feet away at IB bazaar.

Fortunately, there was no casualty in the accident.

The driver of the truck identified as one Naoba fled from the spot soon after the incident.

The truck as well as the goods belongs to one Papu.

The Tamenglong police team and Fire Brigades rushed in to the spot on hearing about the incident.

A case has been subsequently registered.

Out of the two ill-fated Yamaha- RX 135, the one bearing registration no.MN1M 0522) belongs to Hunamang Pamei of Tamenglong Ward No.III (Dimthanlong) and the other, a newly bought one, belongs to Thaingamlung Pamei of Tamenglong Ward No.III (Ramgailong).

The truck also destroyed one electric post.

In another accident, one Gypsy (Regd No MN-01K- 7616) and Motor bike Yamaha (Regd No- 04-6134) collided at lower ground area yesterday.

The Gypsy rolled over the Yamaha.

Eyewitnesses said that the Gypsy driver Namthiubui, Chairman of Sonram Village Authority was getting a driving lesson at the ground.
