To create awareness among the Injecting Drug Users (IDUs) on HIV/AIDS, a two-day Peer Educators' training has been conducted under the aegis of Integrated Women and Children Development Centre (IWCDC), Thangmeiband Yumnam Leikai at its Chingmeirong Yengkhoiba Bazar RIAC Drop-in-Centre.
In all 14 Peer Educators took part in the training programme which concluded today.
During the course of the training programme, RIAC Outreach worker Usham Dhamendra explained on the objective of conducting such training.
He also emphasising on 'safer practices' to prevent from getting infected with HIV/AIDS.
Another RIAC Outreach worker Prabin Nongmaithem gave a detailed account on the facilities being provided at the RIAC Drop-in-Centre.
