86 Bn CRPF hands over water reservoir to school

86 Bn CRPF has handed over one water reservoir to Bethel Christian English School, Keithelmanbi as part of its civic action programme at Senam Kaithong village, today.
The programme was conducted under the aegis of Rajesh Kumar, IPS, IGP Manipur and Nagaland Sector and supervision/initiation of Sh Kalyan Singha, Commandant 86 Bn CRPF.
At the outset, Brig SK Sharma (retd) DIGP Range Imphal opened the function as chief guest in the presence of Principal, teaching staff, students and local villagers, said a press note issued by 86 Bn CRPF.
It stated that the water reservoir was constructed as there is a huge shortage of water in winter.
Speaking in the event, Sh Kalyan Singha said that prior to construction of the reservoir, survey of the area was carried out with a view to extend imperative benefits to the needy area for proper utilization of the Govt grant meant for the purpose and added that the water reservoir \ is constructed solely in the interest of students to fulfil requirement and to maintain the cordial relation between security forces and the public.
Principal of the school and the public of the area lauded the initiative of 86 Bn CRPF and extended their gratitude with the hope of more similar beneficial events in future.
Chief guest Brig SK Sharma (retd) DIGP Range Imphal while addressing the garnering mentioned the noteworthy activities recently undertaken by the 86 Bn CRPF and other CRPF units at Sehjang, K Senam, Awangkhul, Noney, Mao, Senapati among others.
The programme concluded with vote of thanks from Principal of the Bethel Christian English School.
