Jiribam, October 14 2019:
Emoinu Enterprises based at Kamranga part-2 under Lakhipur sub-division in Assam has launched a new tea brand "Emoinu Tea" on Sunday.
Emoinu Enterprises is a unit of Emoinu Evergreen Society owned by a Manipuri Longjam Babasana of Kamranga part-2 in Cachar, Assam.
Proprietor Longjam Babasana launched the new packaged tea brand at his residence as a part of the Epan Thaba (first ceremony after birth) of his second son.
Launching the product, Longjam Babasana said that he has launched the new tea product with a view to instill the sense of entrepreneurship among the Manipuris, particularly Meetei community in the present era of growing commercialization and entrepreneurship.
Raw material of the "Emoinu Tea' is mainly procured from the Pallarbond Tea garden and packaging process is done at Kamranga Makha Leikai, he added.
Stating that tea market is quite vast as it is widely used in people's day to day life, he exuded confidence that his new tea product will also occupy a good space in the Tea market.
Clarifying as to why he launched the product on the day of his new born son's Swasti puja, he said that the product was launched to convey a message of development and change in society, rather than mere performing traditional rituals and story telling of Mahabharat, Ramayan and Khongjom parbha.
He appealed to the people, particularly the Manipuris to encourage the new Tea product launched by a Manipuri in Assam.
