Campaign for displaying of hoardings/signboards with the message of evil effects of drugs and other intoxicant items and traffic rules and regulations organized by All Manipur Anti-Drug Association in association with Narayan Advertisment Agency, Khongman Zone-I kicked off here in Imphal today.
The campaign kicked off with displayed of a hoarding in front of the GP Women College gate.
President of the AMADA, head office, M Padmini Leima and finance secretary of the body L Naoton uncovered the hoarding to commencement of the campaign.
As expressed by Ak Herojit, deputy secretary, human resources development, the campaign with the message of evil effects of drugs and intoxicated items aimed at eliminating intoxicant items from the society for all time and make a society free from all sort of bad habits.
AMADA has also started taken up step to include the message and awareness information to the hoarding and signboards displayed in and around the Imphal area specially to the mobile service operators like Aircel, Airtel, Tata Indocm etc., he observed.
He further said that even though people know the rules and regulations of the traffic, they seem to forget while moving on the way.
Most of the people are attending mobile phone calls, smoke while driving.
Sometimes, they drive will drinking.
With these reason behind, many un-wanted incidents like meeting accident occurred.
In order to rectify the mistakes, AMADA in association with the Narayan Advertising Agency has decided to launch the campaign on inclusion of evil effects of drugs, alcohol and intoxicated items along with rules and regulation of traffic, Naoton added.
He also appealed the people to help in protecting the hoardings and signboards from damaging by any anti-social elements and other factors.
