NABARD's PLP for CCpur launched

The Potential Linked Credit Plan (PLP) 2016-17 for Churachandpur district prepared by NABARD was launched today during the District Consultative Commi ttee (DCC) or District Level Review Committee (DLRC) meeting held at the DC office here.
Based on statistics and suggestions given by the respective Government Depart ments and member banks in the district, the plan document was formally launched by Deputy Commissioner Lunminthang Haokip.
Several DLOs, branch Managers of various banks operating in the district and the LDM, LDO of RBI were present at the launching event, according to a NABARD's release.
The Assistant Manager DD, NABARD Churachand pur Thangchinkhup Guite said the plan document is prepared with a view to serve as a reference document for various policy makers, develop mental and promotional agencies for planning at various levels and for creation of requisite infrastructure to meet the need of the district by judicious tapping of the potential.
It facilitates banks for extending credit to viable activities in the district and line departments and developmental agencies may provide necessary infrastructure and linkage support.
The PLP projections serve as a basis for banks in preparing Annual Credit Plan, he added.
The NABARD's Potential-Linked credit plan outlay for the district during the next fiscal is Rs 200.92 crore, a sizable increase of 36 per cent from the Annual Credit Plan (ACP) of the current year 2015-16.The plan document maintains that RIDF schemes can be implemented in the district through the State Government to ensure better infrastructure in rural areas on projects including laying roads, constructing bridges, school buildings, irrigation, Anganwadi centres, market sheds, storages and godowns.
