Imphal, November 27 2015 : Kh Joykishan and Th Bishwajit who have been re-elected from Thangmeiband AC and Thongju AC respectively on BJP tickets have been sworn in as Members of Manipur Legislative Assembly by Speaker Th Lokeshwar today.

The swearing in ceremony was held at the Speaker's conference hall at 11.30 am.

The two newly elected MLAs pledged to abide by and uphold the Constitution of India, sovereignty and integrity of the country and also to discharge their duties sincerely.

Deputy Chief Minister Gaikhangam, Hill Areas Committee Chairman Dr Chaltonlien Amo, Deputy Speaker Preshow Shimray, MLA Y Erabot and MLA K Sarat were present at the swearing in ceremony.

Speaking to media persons after the swearing in ceremony, Th Bishwajit said that he was elated on being re-elected which has enabled him to work together with fellow legislators once again.

He pledged to carry out what he planned to carry out earlier but could not be translated into action before the current term expires.

Kh Joykishan assured that he would invest best efforts to fulfil what he promised to the people of Thangmeiband AC.

Regarding the many assurances given by the State Government on the floor of the State Assembly which are yet to be translated into action, relevant Union Ministers would be given detailed accounts together with all the relevant documents, he said.

"When I was an MLA of AITC, I could meet party president Mamata Banerjee only once but now I am a BJP MLA and I would dedicate all my labour to public welfare in close coordination with the party's Central and State leaders, Joykishan added.
