PBS training on common NCD for ASHAs, ANMs concludes at Kpi

Kangpokpi, April 05 2019:
The five days training for ASHAs and three days for ANMs on "Population Based Screening (PBS) on common Non Communicable Diseases (NCDs)" organized by District Health Society Kangpokpi successfully concluded in Kangpokpi DHQs today.
Meanwhile, the second batch of PBS on common Non Communicable Diseases (NCDs) for ASHAs and ANMs of HWC Hengbung, Makhan, Leimakhong and Kangchup was also wrapped up today.
The training programme was organized by District Non Communicable Diseases Cell, District Health Society (DHS) Kangpokpi under NPCDCS programme, NHM Manipur.
The concluding ceremony of the training program was held at the conference hall, District Health Society, Kangpokpi where post training examination was also conducted and winners were given certificate as a token of appreciation.
Apart from other health workers, ASHAs, ASHA facilitators, CHO of Health and Wellness Centre, Hengbung, Makhan, Leimakhong and Kangchup Chiru took part in the concluding ceremony.
PBS of common NCDs involves population enumeration and screening of men and women over 30 yrs of age for timely identification and prevention of common NCDs like Diabetes, Hypertension, common types of Cancer including Cervix and Oral cavity were stressed during the event.
Dr Paotinlal Haokip, District Nodal Officer, District NCD Cell, DHS Kangpokpi District and Holminlun Khongsai, District NCD Epidemiologist, DHS Kangpokpi district spoke at the event as resource persons.
Lamboilhing Kipgen from HWC Makhan and S L Chinhoi from HWC Leimakhong bagged first position in ANM category in the post training examination while Kimhoineng Vaiphei, ASHA and Phaljalam Hmar, ASHA Leimakhong from Leimakhong bagged first position in ASHAs category.
They were awarded with certificate of appreciation by the District Health Society, Kangpokpi.
