The team of the National Integration tour to Delhi and Agra being organised by 21 Assam Rifles under aegis of HQ 9 Sector which had been flagged off by Major General BK Chengapa, IGAR (South) on November 1 reached the National capital on November 5.The team of children comprising seven girls and 18 boys from Kakching Govt Higher Secondary School and other Govt schools of village villages like Nungu, Chairel, Chairel Khunou, Wangoo, Kakching Khunou and Umathel got the rare opportunity to meet and interact with Union Home Minister Shivaraj Patil.
While in Delhi, the children were also taken around the capital on an educational tour covering Nehru Planetarium, National Museum, Red Fort, Purana Qila, Qutub Minar, Lotus Temple an Pragati Maidan, PRO Assam Rifles said in a statement, adding that the children are at present proceeding to Agra where they would be visiting one of the Seven Wonders of the World, the Taj Mahal.
