With the the November 10 deadline served to the State Govt by the Senapati District Students' Assn (SDSA) which was submitted on Oct 26 last nearing, the SDSA today announced an indefinite bandh from the midnight of November 15 along the NH-39 leading to Manipur.
Informing the announcement today, SDSA president Kuba Peter said that, in view of the coming Ningol Chakouba and considering the inconveniences of the public, the earlier deadline of Nov.
11 has been postponed to November 15.The SDSA has been urging the Govt to redress the deteriorating conditions of the NH 39 and the completion of construction of water reservoirs under Non Lapsable Central Pool of Resources (NLCPR).
Non compliances of the Govt authorities in addressing the grievances have compelled the SDSA to take up the agitation, according to the SDSA president.
It also appealed to truck owners, drivers and general public to co-operate with the SDSA during its agitation.
It also said that any untoward incident arising from the bandh will be the responsibility of the Govt.
