Declare NSCN-IM as unlawful: NCP

The Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) Manipur Pradesh strongly condemning the Sangakpham bomb blast demanded declaration of NSCN-IM which it says was directly involved with the blast which claimed four civilian lives and seriously injuring another eight.
A press release issued by the vice-president and spokesperson of the party today at Imphal also demanded immediate attention of the Union Home Minister by visiting Imphal.The party also urged the Government of India to extend reasonable compensation to the tune of ' 10 lakhs each to all innocent victims and adequate relief to the injured persons.
A monthly family pension for lifetime to the parents/close relatives of the two unfortunate students who were killed in the incident was also demanded by the party.
The NCP questioned the India Government's difference in dealing with the insurgent outfits in the hills and the valley.
In the valley outfits have been declared as unlawful but not so in the hill areas.
The party also recalled the series of killings involving NSCN-IM, beginning from the brutal killing of Dr Th Kishan Singh, MCS the then SDO, Kasom Khullen along with two of his subordinate staff, kidnapping and killing of an ex-MP of Arunachal Pradesh, ambush on Pungyer MLA Wungaosang Keishing on April 15, 2011, which left eight Manipur Rifles escort personnel dead and seven others injured.
The NCP press release also mentioned the bomb attack on May 28, 2011 at Khuman Lampak Sports Complex in which three members of a family were injured, the recent detection of a bomb fitted in a scooter at Sangakpham market, thereafter on July 24, 2011 the NSCN-IM killed a couple at Lungphu Village in Ukhrul District.
Another incident in the series was the hand grenade attack on the MDC office at Ukhrul on July 23, 2011 the NCP press release mentioned.
The NCP also blamed the Government of India for encouraging lootings, killings, kidnappings and extortion of money from trucks, buses, transporters, terrorizing the victims openly on the National Highways passing through Nagaland and Manipur by the NSCM-IM throughout the year at random, in violation of the ceasefire agreement and ongoing peace-talk.The peace talk is meaningless and it should be discontinued forthwith the party demanded.
Despite recruitment of state security forces in large numbers, the state government has failed to maintain law and order the NCP also charged.
The ADC offices cannot function in its hill districts headquarters due to zero administration in the hill areas.
