Awareness cum voluntary blood donation camp held

An 'Awareness cum Voluntary Blood Donation' camp was held today at Lizard Library hall, Wangkhei Meihoubam Lampak, in commemoration of the 100th Birth Centenary Celebration of Late Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay, an esteemed leader of Bharatya Jana Sangh.
The camp was jointly organised by Hareshwar Goshwami (Convenor, RTI Cell, BJP Manipur), Life Savers Manipur (LISAM) and Shija Blood Bank and Transfusion Services.
Meinam Bhorot (ex-president of BJP), Dr Th Bimol (president, LISAM), Advocate Kongbam Joychandra (advisor, LISAM), Prof S Tiken (senior spokesperson, BJP), Chongtham Bijoy (spokesperson, BJP), Dr Ch Rajmani (MO in charge, Shija Blood Bank and Blood Transfusion Services) and Tayenjam Rakesh (executive officer, Panthoibi Housing Complex) took part as chief guest, president and guests of honour respectively in the opening ceremony.
Speaking at the event, Hareshwar Goshwami said, " The 26th Awareness cum Voluntary Blood Donation camp is also meant to make the people aware of the various schemes and policy launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi for the betterment of the people" .
He pointed out that Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay was not only a great philosopher and a great economist but also often regarded by many as a historian, sociologist and journalist.
The Prime Minister has been undertaking many developmental works for the people in accordance with the vision of the late pandit, he added.
Accusing the State Government of deliberately down-playing the contribution of the party due to fear of losing votes, he said that BJP has been trying to improve the conditions of the people of the State and to make them accessible to all the beneficial schemes and policies.
