SHDP to pressurize Govt, condemns Poudel basti incident

The 20 Congress Councillors of ADC Sadar Hills, after it tendered a mass resignation and formed an alliance party in the name of Sadar Hills Democratic Party on November 18, held a joint meeting for the first time at LNC Hotel, Kangpokpi, today, our correspondent reports.
Sadar Hills Democratic Party (SHDP) in its joint meeting unanimously decided to pressurise the State Government to declare Sadar Hills into a full-fledged district.
The meeting also resolved to condemn the torching of a Nepali house at Poudel Basti on November 16 .
The joint meeting was attended by SHDP leader Haokholal Hangshing, deputy leader Thangjakam Misao, secretary Thongjalun Mate and spokesperson Lunthang Haokip apart from other members.
SHDP spokesperson Lunthang Haokip has urged the State Government to be bold and strong enough to declare Sadar Hills as a full fledged district.
He also urged all the community living under the administrative jurisdiction of Sadar Hills Autonomous District Council to live peacefully and work collectively.
