IFC Minister distributes blanket to destitute children

School Development and Management Committee of Kanglatongbi Children Home (Orphanage) today organized a thanksgiving ceremony in connection with the completion of school fencing construction.
Ngamthang Haokip, Minister IFCD, Printing & Stationery, graced the occasion as chief guest while Haothang Khongsai attended the function as the ceremony minister with Miss Kut 2014 Lamneimoi Chongloi as special guest.
Apart from the school authority, staff and students, civil society body leaders, church leaders also attended the function.
Speaking at the function, the Minister pointed out that helping destitute children is seeking blessing from the Almighty while urging the people to help the orphans as much as they can since that would make some way or the other to make them become a respectable person one day.
The Minister continued that anything whether it is cash or property donated to help destitute children would never go in vain.
He distributed blankets and sports materials to students of the home.
While encouraging the children of the home, the IFC Minister said, "I have also lost both my parents when I was a small boy like you but now I have become a Minister.
I have been elected as MLA for four times and every time I am elected unbelievably I became Minister" .
"Therefore, you should throw away the attitude of being an orphan but have a brave heart and determination to become a good and respectable person in the future because you all are our future", the Minister added.
The IFC Minister also assured to do his best for construction of new school building and playground including IVR.
Chungson, Chairman SMDC of the school said that Children of the school faced lots of disturbance from various sections due to improper fencing while adding that the school fencing measuring 4093 sq ft has been constructed without any assistance from the Government but only through donation and help from kind hearted individuals.
The Chairman continued that with the contribution and assistance from IFC Minister Ngamthang Haokip with 50 bags of cement and Commanding Officer, AR Lairouching with 60 bags of cement while another 150 bags of cement from other benevolent individual the school fencing has been completed.
