Imphal, November 08 2014 :
Manipuri Students Federation (MSF) advisor LC Romesh today appealed to contractors and work agencies not to claim the tenders of road and bridge construction works in rural and hill areas under Manipur State Rural Road Development Agency (MSRRDA) by reducing the tender amount.
Speaking to reporters, he said that MSRRDA recently issued tenders for construction of roads and bridges in rural and hills areas.
With the completion of the 9th phase, MSRRDA issued a notification for the 10th phase with November 18 as the last date, he said.
During the submission of tenders, work agencies and contractors have applied to execute these works by cutting down 27 to 30 percent from the total permitted amount, he alleged.
As such, people are apprehensive that the works would not be executed properly, he added.
The advisor urged RD&PR Minister Francis Ngajokpa to look into the matter seriously.
