One Day Workshop for Primary Teachers held

District Council Administration of Autonomous District Council (ADC) Chandel organised a one-day seminar cum workshop for primary teachers of Tengnoupal Block under ADC Chandel at Tengnoupal Community Hall today.
.STongpao Mate, Executive Member (CAF & PD, Art and Culture) ADC Chandel; Chanthoi Aimol, Member ADC Chandel and L.R.Kothil Maring, Member ADC Chandel graced the occasion as the Chief Guest, Guest of Honour and Functional President respectively.
During the Workshop, Resource Persons Dr.Tinkhoneng Haokip, Lecturer, DIET Chandel spoke on the topic "Constructive approach in Teaching Learning" and Naorem Birmangol Singh, Retd.Principal, DIET Kakching deliberated on "Impact of Parents to Teachers in Primary Schools" .

While speaking at the function, S.Tongpao Haokip, Executive Member ADC Chandel said that as Education is one of the major department under Autonomous District Council, the elected members of the Council were also trying a lot for improving the education system in the hill area since the Autonomous District Council was revived after the gap of 20 years in 2010 .
He maintained that before reviving the Autonomous District Council, the education system particularly the Primary education in the hill areas of the state were not functioning properly.
However, after the Autonomous District Council was revived some changes were observed in the education system today.
Such changes were came as there is a system of government at the grass root level and it is not the achievement of the Members of District Council but the achievement of Autonomous District Council as a whole, said the Executive Member.
While appealing the teachers to be dedicated in their duties, the Executive Member further told that all those working under the District Council should work whole heartedly in bring development in every aspect including education.
The teachers should also dedicate themselves and take the responsibility to uplift the education system and produce good students, he added.

Moshilpha, Inspector of Schools, ADC Chandel also said that the role and responsibility of the teachers is indeed great and vast in building a good nation as a good teacher makes a good nation.
If we want a good nation, we need a good teacher, he added.
He further said that the teachers are a role model for the students who are the future pillar of the nation.
As such the teachers should not forget that they are the builder of the nation and they must dedicate to their duties towards building our nation, he added.
Besides more than 200 Primary Teachers under Chandel Autonomous District Council, Renie Wanglar, Deputy Inspector of Schools; DK.

Belen, Inspector of Schools also attended the workshop.
