A single application form is all that it takes to
avail the Prime Minister's Awas Yojna (Housing for All scheme) .
A notice issued by the Imphal Municipal Council on March
2 invited applications from the Economically Weaker Section
(EWS) and Low Income Group (LIG) who do not have a
house or live in a
kuccha
house for allotment of housing units
under the Prime Minister's Awas Yojna, IMC Executive
Officer Ngangom Uttam stated.
The application forms should be submitted at the IMC
office by March 16.Applicants do not need to attach related
documents in support of the application.
The IMC will con-
duct a survey that would determine the number of EWS and
LIGs in the State.
The department would then prepare a de-
tailed project report (DPR).
The forms submitted would be verified based on the socio
economic census report of 2011.IMC will then issue a list of
names for the allotment of housing units under the scheme, he
informed.
Construction of houses for the selected EWS and LIG
would be done phase wise till 2022, he added.
