Imphal, October 02 2015 :
A large number of people of Lamsang AC, Sekmai AC and Saitu AC held a discussion meeting on the deplorable road condition of the Sagolband-Maklang road.
Though the road was blacktopped in some part, road leading from Haorangkeirel Thongkhong to Sangaithel Chingkhong which is about six kms was left unattended.

Expressing displeasure over the failure of the authority concerned and local elected leaders of the three Assembly Constituencies to repair the road, the gathering resolved to boycott the elected leaders if they fail to repair the road within ten days.
Transporters commuting along the road also took part in the discussion meeting.
Vehicular movement in the area was crippled for some time after the locals blocked the road.
The locals urged Lamsang AC MLA W Brajabidhu, IFCD Minister and Saitu AC MLA Ngamthang Haokip and Sekmai AC MLA Th Devendro Singh to look into the adversities of the villagers and expedite the repairing work.
Instead of paying all form of taxes to the Government, the collected amount will be used in road repairing work in case the authority concerned fails to meet the demand of the people, stated P Ibemnunghsi who presided over the meeting.
