Naga leaders pay tribute on 13th anniversary of Martyrdom of Chakho & Loshuo

Different Naga leaders from different parts of the State and beyond paid homage and floral tribute to Late Neli Chakho and late Dikho Loshuo on the 13th anniversary of Martyrdom at Mao in Senapati district today.
Krelo, Secretary, Mao Council in his welcome speech stated that the day marks a powerful reassurance of honouring the martyrs.
The secretary mentioned that the day marked the coming of a new dawn by taking the issue forward.
Although it is very heartbreaking to recall, their supreme sacrifices for the greater good brings the hearts of the Nagas and the Naga National Movement closer and stronger, he said.
Their names are forever written in the Naga History as martyrs where the issue stands at the threshold of their long cherished dreams of a Final Political Solution.
Speaking at the occasion, United Naga Council president Ng Lorho urged the gathering to stand united, committed and also reaffirm their stand against any challenge and threat.
He also stated that Nagas are looking for a peaceful political settlement with the Govt of India and longing for a peaceful coexistence with all communities.
Floral tributes were paid by different Naga leaders including the United Naga Council; Naga Women's Union; Naga Students Federation; Naga People's Movement for Human Rights; Naga People's Organization; Senapati District Students Association; Mao Council; Mao Students Union; Mao Naga Women's Welfare Association; Mao National Workers and Kalinamai Youth & Students Organisation.
