Imphal, May 06 2023:
Arambai Tengol has denied rampant allegations that the organisation took weapons from State forces and called against the dissemination of such harmful misinformation that could malign their reputation.
In a statement, Arambai Tengol advised that if any individual (s) under the false garb of the organisation had taken hold of weapons from State forces then they should return the said weapons within 24 hours.
Stating the reason behind their clarification, Arambai Tengol alleged that they had received information of certain vested interests using the name of their organisation to take active part in the ongoing civil unrest.
It advised these unknown entities to remove their masks and take responsibility for their actions instead of attributing them to Arambai Tengol.
The statement also strongly condemned the destruction of religious structures and other illegal acts carried out by people in the name of their respective communities and called for collective efforts to restore peace.
Further, it cautioned to take up stringent action against individuals continuing to misuse the organisation's name in the future.
