EECHAL celebrates 11th Foundation Day

Ereibak Enat Chanura Loinasillon (EECHAL) president Tongbram (O) Ibemcha has appealed to the State Government to pass the ILP Bill in the upcoming monsoon session of the State Assembly.
Speaking at the 11th foundation day celebration of the of the Lup held at Panthoibi community hall, Nongthongbam Leikai today, Ibemcha said EECHAL has been working to promote work culture among the underprivileged women of the State.
The Lup has also been taking active part in other issues of the State.
On the issue of ILPS, Ibemcha said the announcement of JCILPS' former convenor Khomdram Ratan as a wanted man by the State Government was nothing but the Government's attempt to divert the ILPS movement.
She has further appealed to the State Government to pass a Bill for the protection of the indigenous people in the upcoming Assembly session.
The foundation day celebration was also attended by All Manipur Women's Social Reformation and Development Samaj secretary general Th Ramani, Apunba Manipur Kanba Ima Lup (AMKIL) president Ph Sakhi, All Manipur Tammi Chingmi Apunba Nupi Lup president S Momon Leima, CADA president Y Ratankumar, Mapi Council president N Bimol, UCM vice-president YK Dhiren and others.
A Thang-Ta ceremonial dance was also performed during the function.
