R-Day full dress rehearsal held, taffic diversion inconveniences many

Full dress rehearsal of Republic Day celebration was held at Imphal today, under very tight security measures.
On the other hand, many of the roads leading to Imphal city were blocked at various points and traffic were diverted to other alternate routes, causing immense inconveniences to the public Commandant of 7 Manipur Rifles, Achin Haokip, acted as the parade commander of the full dress rehearsal which was participated by various contingents of Central Para Military Forces, State security forces (including women police, scouts and guide) NCC boys and girls, students of Government schools and colleges, cultural troupes and various band contingents.
The march parch contingent started from 1st Manipur Rifles complex, passed along the Chief Minister's bungalow, went inside Kangla Fort from the southern gate and gave base salute in front of Kangla Uttar Sanglen before coming out through the northern gate of the fort.
The contingents then proceeded toward Khoyathong and passed through Kanglapat road, Raj Bhavan before culminating at 1st Battalion Manipur Rifles.
The band contingent of Sainik School also showcased a mesmerising display during the full dress rehearsal.
Similar full dress rehearsal of Imphal East district was held at the Imphal East DC office complex today.
