NIFAA launched, aims to bring national integration

With the objective of building national integration through socio-cultural ties and instill the sense of social responsibility among the public, particularly the youths in the State, National Integrated Forum of Artists and National Integration (NIFAA), Manipur Branch was launched today at the auditorium of Leimayon Arts Centre, Singjamei Chingamakha, Imphal.
The launching function was attended by Pritpal Singh Panu, founder chairman, NIFAA, India, Natya Shree KB Sharma, president, NIFAA, Manipur Branch, S Tomba Meetei, president, LAC, Imphal and S Shyama Devi, president, ECO as the chief guest, president and guests of honour respectively.
Speaking on the occasion, KB Sharma conveyed that NIFAA is a forum formed on the basis of bringing national integration.
He underscored the importance of having mutual understanding and respect among the populace of different States in the country in bringing national integration, opining that it is possible through the exchange of ideas, culture and other values among the populace in different parts of the country.
When people in different States share their ideas, thoughts and exchange cultures and other values prevailing in their respective States among themselves, there will naturally be an emotional integration that consequently leads to national integration.
There will be no national integration without emotional integration and in order to fulfil this, people in different regions and States must explore each other's values, he said.
He added that the initiative will even sort out the differences among the people peacefully and amicably.
Different performances like cultural song, dance by various individuals and cultural troupes marked the main event of the function.
