3-days training on digitization & cyber security starts

A 3-Day Training Programme on Digitization & Cyber Security was inaugurated at Lamyanba Shanglen.
Takhelmayum Tomba, vice chairman Indo Asian Friendship Organization Manipur, Dr T Jhulon Singh, retd Superintendent Veterinary & Animal Husbandry Dept Manipur, Maisnam Chanu Liklainu, Deputy Director, NHM, Wortam, president TKLI and others attended the event as dignitaries.
The program is being organized by Vishwa Yuvak Kendra and The Indigenous Foundation with the objective to create awareness on 'Cyber security' among the youth and women who are vulnerable to cybercrimes.
During the training programme, there will be deliberations on the menace of cybercrime and best ways to deal with it-socially, psychologically and legally.
Lawyers, representatives from cybercrime cell Imphal, youth activists, financial experts, IT experts & clinical psychologists will provide training on different aspects of cyber security, said officials.

"As the Chinese saying goes -Cure the disease that has not yet happened, I earnestly feel that it is a must to educate ourselves and others about cyber security before we become victims on the cyber space," said Akoijam Kebisana, Program Officer, The Indigenous Foundation.
"The overall vision of the three days training is to establish, maintain and secure cyberspace to safeguard National interest and preserve the fundamental rights and values of Indian society," said Rajeev Nirmal, Program Officer, Vishwa Yuvak Kendra.
Vishwa Yuvak Kendra is a Delhi based NGO that assists small voluntary organisations by way of providing conceptual forums, technical training and information support, especially to those groups working in remote areas.
