Re-conducted

As demanded by the JAC constituted in connection with the controversial death of Hatneikim, post mortem examination of the body of Hatneikim was re-conducted today.
Hatneikim was found hung to death from a tree bean (Yongchak) at a paddy field of Kwasiphai Mamang Leikai, Bishnupur district on February 29.Post mortem of the body was conducted on the same day at RIMS.
Not satisfied with the post mortem done at RIMS, the JAC Against the Mysterious/Brutal Killing of Hatneikim was demanding a second post mortem.
Subsequently, post mortem was re-conducted today at JNIMS but the body was taken back to RIMS mortuary.
JAC convenor Thaomina Chothe, quoting JNIMS authority, said that the post mortem report would be available after one week.
A decision would be taken whether to claim the corpse or not only after the post mortem report is received.
Until then, the Government should not dispose the corpse, Thaomina Chothe said.
Hatneikim Zou Chothe (32) w/o Tungnung Joseph of Bishnupur Ward No 12, Lamlanghupi Chothe village went home from her Nungsai Chiru work place on February 28 .
But she was found hung to death the next day.
She is survived by her husband, a son and a daughter.
