Recruitment process on sans governing body

SK Women's College, Nambol which was among the five colleges to whom grant-in-aid was provided by the Government last year is reportedly working to recruit staff even as new governing body is yet to be set up.
By an order issued by the Education Commissioner in December last year, SK Women's College, Waikhom Mani Girls' College, South East Manipur College, Moreh College and Don Bosco College Maram were provided grant-in-aid.
The Government's grant-in-aid was meant for providing financial support to the Principal, 10 lecturers, one office assistant, one chowkidar, one peon, one laboratory assistant and one laboratory attendant of each college.
After the order for grant-in-aid was issued, Additional Director (Education) issued another order in May this year to set up new governing bodies at these colleges under the Manipur Education Board 1982.For SK Women's College, its governing body secretary issued an order for recruitment of Principal Lecturers and staff who would be supported by the grant-in-aid.
In the meantime, Higher Education Additional Director wrote a letter to the Principal of SK Women's College in July this year.
It categorically stated that the existing governing bodies would be dissolved once the new governing bodies are set up.
