Protest staged against attack on school

Staff and students of SDJM Higher Secondary School staged a sit-in protest today at Keishampat Kangabam Leikai against the indecent act of Jadumani and his son yesterday which resulted in the injury of a girl student and damaging of the school properties.
According to the school authority, Jadumani and his family has been imposed a fine of Rs 10 lakh besides having to bear the medical expenses of the injured student, Poireinganbi Athokpam and fine for damaging school properties.
The school authority said, the sum has been fined from him for causing mental trauma and strain to the students of the school and particularly the injured one.
It may be mentioned that a girl student of SDJM, Keishampat Kangabam Leikai was hurt when Boi, son of Jadumani had pelted a stone at the window panes of the school.
Glass shells have to be removed from the arm of the girl at RIMS hospital due to the indecency of the father-son duo.
Inspite of paying heeds to the request of the students to Jadumani who was casuing annoyance to the class by playing loud music in his car near the school, the accused Jadumani with his son challenged the students and staff by pelting a stone at the building.
Alleging that the accused has not get his name enrolled in the electoral roll nor is he a permanent resident of the locality, the school authority urged all concerned to socially boycot him.
