BSEM annual prize distribution

The 43rd annual prize distribution function of the Board of Secondary Education, Manipur (BSEM) was held today at MFDC auditorium, Palace Gate.
H Deleep Singh, Secretary (Education-S) and Chairman of BSEM; C Arthur, Director, Higher and Technical Education and Chairman of COHSEM and N Praveen Singh, Director (Education-S) attended the programme as the chief guest, president and guest of honour respectively.
Speaking at the occasion, H Deleep said that the promise of Education Minister to bring positive change in Education Dept and Govt institutions has become a reality today.
He said that the Department has been making concerted efforts to improve education system in the State.
Deleep also stressed the need for better coordination and consultation of all stake holders and Education Dept for producing good students in Govt run educational institutions.
Board Award (for top ten rank holders), Board Award for Elementary Manipuri, State Award for Popularisation of Science and other awards instituted by trusts and individuals were presented to about 60 meritorious students who came out with flying colours in the High School Leaving Certificate Exam 2015 conducted by the BSEM.
The gold medal award was presented to topper of this year HSLC exam Melody Khoirom of Khuman Maheikol, Mayang Imphal.
The silver medal award was presented to second rank holders Toijam Sanjina Devi of Little Flower School and Gurumayum Gopalkrishna Sharma of Don Bosco High School, Imphal.
Cash awards were presented to other rank holders and subject toppers.
The best school award was presented to Tiny Tot's Unique School, Dewlahland.
It may be mentioned that a total of 21,225 students cleared the HSLC exam this year.
A total of 34,831 candidates appeared for the exam.
