Eat Right toolkit training programme held

Imphal, February 12 2021:
Eat Right Toolkit training programme for frontline workers, ANMs, ASHA and anganwadi workers was held today at the conference hall of the Chief Medical Officer complex.
The training programme was organised by Designated Officer Food Safety Administration Imphal East and was attended by Dr L Indira Devi, CMO; Ch Sanajaoba, food analyst/nodal officer, Food Testing Lab and Th Sunilkumar, designated officer, Eat Right Challenge as presidium members.
Dr L Indira said the programme was organised to make all the officers, frontline workers, ANMs, ASHA and anganwadi workers fully aware about the 'Eat Right' initiative.

Th Sunilkumar said the training programme is becoming more necessary as the number of disorders originating from adulteration of foods and food poisoning has increased manifold.
He added Imphal East is amongst the 150 cities selected for the implementation of the said campaign in phase-I .
"If we provide food that has enough vitamins and iodine, cases of anaemia in children and pregnant women can be prevented," he added.
Technical sessions and demonstrations were also conducted as a part of the training programme.
