Sensitization program on constitutional obligations held

The Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) of Lilong Haoreibi College organised a Sensitization of students and employees of the Institution to the constitutional obligations: values, rights, duties and responsibilities of citizens at the college multipurpose hall on Thursday.
The Programme chaired by the Principal of the College Dr.Raheijuddin Sheikh was attended by the teaching faculties and non-teaching staff and students of the college.
Former Principal of the College Dr Kunjani Devi delivered lecture on the topic Duties and Responsibilities of Citizens as enshrined in the Constitution followed by interaction with students; N Mohen Singh delivered on Professional Ethics and Code of Conduct of non-teaching staff, Md Safiqur Rahman talked on values and rights of citizens in the constitution, Dr Abdul Hei on institutional code of conduct of teachers, Dr N Bino Devi on Students code of conduct.
Dr Raheijuddin in his presidential address emphasized the need of organizing such sensitization programmes very often in order to inculcate the roles of youth in shaping a civilized society, maintaining disciplines among themselves, seniors and juniors and to become a perfect citizen of a developed nation.
He further stated that the students of the college have now become one of the best students with good moral and character, maintain best practices amongst themselves.
The programme conducted as one of the academic exercises bears certain weightages contributing to the internal assessment marks.
Those who could listen carefully were awarded 1(one) point, those who could raise relevant questions to the resource persons with 2(two) points, who answer correctly to questions based on the lectures were awarded 5(five) points, who could answer even though, incorrectly were also awarded 3(three) points weightage which all would be considered for accumulation in the internal assessment.
